Soccer to me
This whole past week has been soccer camp for both Jake and Emma. And being the good scrapbooker/blogger/mother that I am, I forgot to bring my camera every single day. But I finally remembered today.
I didn’t get that many pictures of Jake and his group because they were constantly on the move…and I would have been the only mother out there snapping pictures but whatever. They both had a blast and came home every day sweaty, dirty, exhausted messes. It was awesome.
And we learned that we are going to need to buy some stock in a deodorant company once Jake hits puberty. He loved running around at home yelling “Smell my armpits”. That’s just pure class.
Emma’s group was pretty funny to watch. Her shirt alone came down to her knees. When we put it on her on Monday, I commented that it was way too big. She said, “It not too big. I’m a princess!” and started to twirl around. Quite the beauty, she was.
There is a train track that runs right beside the park where the camp was. The coaches were smart enough to realize that soccer doesn’t compete with a train, so when the train whistle blew, all playing stopped and everyone sat and watched the train go by. The whole train, from beginning to end. Today, there were 5 trains. I think Emma actually played soccer for about 32 seconds.
The best part about watching Emma was when they did stretching. Her is her attempt at jumping jacks. Didn’t quite get it, but it didn’t matter because she thought it was hilarious.
